Trevor qualified from Wolverhampton School of Physiotherapy in 1990
with a Graduate Diploma and joined the Chartered Society of
Physiotherapy. He undertook junior rotations at Broadgreen Hospital,
Liverpool and was promoted to senior grade in 1992. From 1994 to 1996
he worked at BUPA (Stretton) treating members of the public and
sportsmen from Warrington Warriors Rugby League FC and Warrington
Swimming Club.
In 1996 he worked as a senior physiotherapist in Auckland, New Zealand
in a private clinic treating the public and local amateur rugby players.
From1997 to 1999 he worked as a senior physiotherapist at Aintree
Hospital and in 1999 was promoted to Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist
at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital. That year he also became a
network physiotherapist for the English Badminton Association. In 2005
he was promoted to Consultant Physiotherapist at Knowsley PCT
specialising in lower limb assessment, treatment and research.
He gained a Masters Degree in Sports Science from John Moore’s
University, Liverpool in 2001. His thesis was looking at rehabilitation of
ankle injuries. He has presented work at international conference level and
published papers on lower limb topics.
